Product Upgrade Notice: IRM-01~60 Series Acquire IEC/EN/UL62368-1 Safety Approvals
Since the new IEC/EN/UL62368-1 safety standard will replace IEC/EN/UL60590-1 by December 20th, 2020, MEAN WELL has completed safety upgrade for the entire IRM-01~60 PCB module family one year before the new safety enforcement date. The upcoming IRM-90 series will also have IEC/EN/UL62368-1 upon release. Customers already using the IRM will be able to more smoothly transition their products to the new safety standards, thus improving product competitiveness.
Additionally, the IRM-30~60 have also acquired EN60335-1 safety as a response to the increasing demands for electrical household appliance safety. Thanks to the IEC/EN/UL62368-1 (1~60W) + EN60335-1 (30~60W) dual safety, IRM series will be able to cover even wider application demands and provide more convenience for customers during safety application.
The upgrades will be applied to standard products manufactured after the date shown below. MEAN WELL will fully absorb the costs incurred from this upgrade and will not adjust the product price. If you have any questions, please check product datasheet on the MEAN WELL website or contact your MEAN WELL sales representative.
